How To Find Us
This December, Moonlight Flicks is located at
Storyhouse’s enormous 30ft Airscreen, twinkling lights, toasted marshmallows await you at Carriage Shed, Moonlight Flicks’ new home for Christmas.
Gather your loved ones, wrap up warm and enjoy the best festive films ever made under the stars (and with the extra comfort of a glass roof to keep you cosy).
How will it work?
When should I arrive?
Tickets are strictly limited per screening and only ticket-holders will be able to enter the Moonlight Flicks site. The doors open at 2.30pm for afternoon screenings, and 6pm for evening screenings. Please arrive as early as you can to get settled and soak up the festive atmosphere.
Where can I sit?
Carriage Shed is a large space allowing for plenty of space between groups. To guarantee social distancing, we will be pre-allocating space within the seating area just for you and your household, our team will show you to your area.
Reserve the best seats in the house with a VIP Seated ticket, and we’ll have your seats all set up for you with the very best views, for when you arrive.
If you have booked a Standard Ticket, you will need to bring your own seats with you – deck chairs, and camping chairs are perfect.
When will the film start?
To ensure it is dark enough for everyone to see the screen, film times can change. The start times is the earliest possible time the film will start – the latest will be 20 minutes later.
How will I hear the film?
To ensure maximum sound quality and a totally immersive experience, all screenings use personal headphones. Customers are encouraged bring their own headphones with them to plug in. Any standard pair of headphones with a standard jack connection will work! Don’t worry if you don’t have your own – we will have enough for everyone.
Can I bring my own food & drink
Food and drinks will available to buy, you are not permitted to bring your own food and drinks onto this site.
What about the weather?
The seating areas at Carriage Shed are partially covered, so you will be mostly protected from any rain. On a cold day, it may be a little chilly though so our advice is to come as prepared as possible: warm jumpers, waterproofs, blankets and even sleeping bags will keep you extra cosy.
Torrential or stormy weather may mean we have to cancel the screening. If we do that we will contact you right away by email and you will be able to choose a refund or exchange. Refunds will only be offered in the event that the screening is cancelled.
What else are you doing to keep us safe?
All customers will be required to scan in using the NHS Test & Trace app on arrival, we will refuse entry to anyone who does not log in. Hand sanitiser and soap will be readily available and staff will follow a cleaning rota every 30mins to ensure the regular cleaning and sanitising of all high-volume areas and touch points.
Will I have to wear a mask?
Face coverings are required at all times including when sitting and watching the film, and when moving around, queueing and using the toilet facilities. You can remove your face covering when eating and drinking and children under 11 are not required to wear one if they prefer.
